Effects of massages

Massage is one of the oldest and most natural methods of healing. They help to relax the body and mind, strengthen vitality and improve the physical and mental state of the organism. The healing power of touch is increasingly appreciated nowadays and the relaxation of massage is becoming a regularly sought after experience for most people. The beneficial effects of massage can be felt on most parts of the human body, primarily the skin, muscles, joints and tendons, but also the heart, blood vessels, respiratory system, lymphatic system and internal organs. Massage is a very good prevention of disease. From a psychological point of view, massage improves mood, relieves stress, and induces a sense of inner peace and harmony. Touch has a positive effect on our emotional balance and physical well-being and the need to be touched remains very high in most people throughout their lives. With a relaxed body and a relaxed psyche, people literally come alive and can lead a much more active and happy life.

Description of massages

Deep tissue massage

is a massage technique that focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue, relieving chronic tension in muscle fibres, tendons and ligaments and around joints by slowly stretching and applying finger pressure to the tightened areas. This is a very intense massage, using similar movements and techniques to a traditional restorative massage, but the pressure is more intense, resulting in very effective muscle relaxation in the deeper layers. In addition to the hands and fingers, the forearms and elbows are also used in deep massage. Deep tissue massage helps to resolve muscle spasms, trigger points, tension in entire muscle groups and restores function to long-standing muscle tightness.

Classic Swedish regenerative massage

focuses on relaxing muscles, tendons and fascia. Classical massage primarily strengthens the striated muscles. The metabolism of the tissues is improved. It is mainly used to relieve muscle tension in overloaded or flaccid muscles. This massage also stimulates blood and lymph flow and has a positive effect on the central nervous system.

Myofascial massage

This massage is mainly about treating the fascia or connective tissue that surrounds everything in our body. The fascia resembles a spider web or fabric structure to the eye. We can think of it as a very tightly woven covering that permeates all the muscles, bones, nerves, arteries, veins, as well as all the internal organs including the heart, lungs, brain and spinal cord. This means that all parts of the body are connected to each other through the fascia. Stiffening of the fascia adversely affects the health of the entire body and impairs the function of individual organs, muscles, joints, tendons, blood, lymphatic and nervous systems. These tightnesses can cause back pain and other pains in the body. Myofascial massage is a type of soft tissue massage that can help eliminate these pains. I also use silicone massage bulbs for treatment.

Relaxation massage

Relieves the body and mind of stress while supporting the circulatory and lymphatic systems. The massage is performed with gentle strokes and at a slow pace. The pleasant aroma of massage oils and relaxing music contribute to relaxation. Relaxing massage helps with physical and mental fatigue. It is suitable for chronic stress, depression, sleep disorders, mental exhaustion.

Hawaiian Lomi-lomi massage

is literally a pearl among relaxing massages, when the whole body is gradually massaged in the rhythm of pleasant massage touches and with the help of fragrant massage oils and pleasant music. If you have been feeling for a long time that you are always going somewhere and that joy is not coming and, on the contrary, the layers of everyday stress are piling up, this technique is right for you. Hawaiian massage is as smooth as the waves of the sea. It's actually a dance around the massage table. You will feel energized after this massage.

Indian anti-stress head and neck massage

is an ancient Ayurvedic technique that harmonizes the body and soul. It is not just a head massage, the neck, shoulders and face are also massaged. The massage is done sitting on a chair or lying on a massage couch with or without massage oil according to your preference. You will feel calm and psychological well-being. This massage effectively relieves stress, tension and can help eliminate migraines. It oxygenates the brain, improves concentration, helps against depression and anxiety. It improves the condition of the scalp and the quality of hair.

You can choose your own combination of areas to be massaged: neck, back, arms, lower limbs, décolletage (for women), chest (for men), abdomen, head and face.

A popular massage is also the "tailor-made massage", a combination of different techniques, for example:

  • deep or classic regenerative massage with fascia treatment.
  • relaxing back and neck massage and Indian head massage
  • manual face lift and Indian head massage
  • and so on, according to your choice

Recommedation before massage:

  • do not eat heavy meals or drink alcohol for approximately two hours before the massage
  • it posssible, it is advisiable to take a shower, as the skin pores will open and better absorb the active substances contained in the massage oil (both massage centres have a shower avaible for clients)
  • if you are unsure about the suitability of the massage, you should consult your doctor beforehand

Recommedation after massage:

  • after the massage, it is advisiable to remain lying on the massage couch for a few minutes before slowly sitting up and standing up
  • drink water or tea to allow th ebody to flush out waste substances
  • it is not recommended to drink alcohol
  • it is inapproproate to do heavy physical work after massage
  • rest and do not shower in the afternoon or evening on the day of the massage if you want to intensify the effect of the regenerating oil
